Start with the actual scope

Confirm which categories and processes sit inside the manufacturer’s audited scope. Ask whether design, panel work, solid timber, metal, upholstery, finishing and installation are performed in-house or managed through approved partners.

Review evidence, not slogans

Request current certificates, sample inspection records, material declarations and recent production examples. Check that the company name, address, scope and validity dates match the supplier you are assessing.

Test project communication

A capable supplier should turn a brief into drawings, material schedules, samples and approval gates. Clarify ownership, revision control, packing marks and the information required before production begins.
